The Scale Doesn't Define You

I am so grateful to my friend Katie Vaughn of Katie Vaughn Nutrition for this great conversation about Feeling Good in Your Own Body! I love Katie’s priority of eating foods that YOUR unique body needs, as well as the importance of managing stress as a means to feel your best. Her comment about tools and guidance versus willpower when it comes to making healthy food choices and managing stress is right on, you don’t have to do this alone and if you’re struggling it’s not because there’s anything wrong with you. Check out our conversation and learn that it is often small changes in our daily routine that make the biggest differences. For instance, taking 10-minutes to meal prep or eating a piece of fruit instead of a handful of candy or breathing deeply for a few minutes or developing a morning meditation practice. Katie also emphasizes that the number on the scale does not define us and also does not define success. Changes in nutrition and stress management often result in feeling better, having sustainable energy, reducing cravings, having better quality sleep and shifting body composition – all major successes!
