It has been such a pleasure to partner with Go Love Yourself as a featured coach this month! Go Love Yourself is a subscription box for thoughtful, reflective, self-awareness seeking women and being part of this remarkable community of women has been empowering and inspiring. (So much more than a traditional monthly subscription box!) This month’s theme is mindfulness and we read The Mindful Day by Laurie J. Cameron, a book about practical ways to find focus, calm and joy from morning to evening.
Happy New Year! Yes, I know officially the new year isn’t until January first, however there is something new about this time of year as the seasons change and school resumes. Even if you’re experiencing a heat wave (it’s 90+ degrees where I am today) or the only part of back to school that impacts you is the traffic patterns, there’s still an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start fresh.
I am so grateful to my friend Marye Lobb for this inspiring conversation! Marye is a super talented musician and creator of Song Detox and we chatted about the awesome power of music. Our conversation focused on the importance of self-love and how to be honest with yourself all through the lens of music as a form of service.
How is it that we can look at the same face in the mirror for years, and some days think we’re so beautiful and other days so ugly? We’re looking at essentially the same face, however what we think and how we feel about our face can be vastly differently from day to day.
I love chatting with my favorite people and am grateful to be able to share their awesome messages with you! My interview with Randi Lattimore, the outstanding National Mind/Body Director at Midtown Athletic Club, was SO FUN that I couldn't wait to send it to you!
I'm so excited and grateful to share this new interview with one of my favorite people! Lynne Staropoli Boucher is a yoga coach and I absolutely love the work she's doing on and off the mat (love her too!)
I am so grateful to work with the most wonderful clients and it is such a privilege to be part of their journeys! Coaching women to transform their mindset and make sustainable changes to feel confident in their own skin absolutely lights me up.
I had the privilege of interviewing by my awesomely talented friend and communications coach, Andrea Holland for my YouTube channel! Andrea is outstanding in her field and I love her approach to finding your voice and its connection to internal confidence.
I’ve got great news for you, the skills you have in one area of your life could be true assets in other areas! Seems obvious, however many of us compartmentalize our talents and only use certain skills for our professional world and others only for our personal world. Don’t sell yourself short.
Featured in Rochester Woman Online: We confidently earn advanced degrees, confidently move up the corporate ladder, confidently run businesses, confidently take care of others and confidently share our opinions. Yet, we’re not confident in our own skin. It’s wild to think that we’re so successful and capable in just about every area of our lives, except this one.
I had the privilege of interviewing by my incredibly talented friend and colleague Erin Whiting for my new YouTube channel! Erin is a healer and owns Soleil Wellness, a place to rediscover the joy, happiness and freedom you’ve been seeking.
I’ve heard from multiple people recently that my messages make it seem so simple. “It” being anything from feeling confident in your own skin and living authentically to being empowered and feeling an overall sense of wellbeing. The reality is, IT is simple. Feeling our best and living our truth doesn’t have to be complex.
I recently wrote about Louise Hay’s You Can Heal Your Life(Do You Like You, Part I) and promised to return once I finished her book. I’m reading it a second time and am almost finished, it’s as powerful and game changing the second time as it was the first!
For much of my life I was my own worst enemy, full of self-criticism and anger about what I didn’t think was fair. Like many of you, I know much of what I need to do to feel my best. The challenge lies in getting out of my own way, dropping the excuses, noticing the resistance and moving past it.
I’ve been focused lately on self-love and self-esteem for myself, my clients and my yoga students. Self-criticism comes up often in my work and I’m on a mission to help as many people as I can to break through this self-limiting behavior. We each have too much to offer to be held back by beliefs that are rooted in fear, negativity and judgment. That’s right, the world needs YOU, the authentic you with the unique gifts that no one else can offer.
I did two things recently that pushed me way outside my comfort zone and into a place where my fear was amped up big time. Since I was young, I have feared judgment from others and while I’ve come a long way and remind myself daily that what others think of me is none of my business, sometimes that fear creeps back in.
I had the privilege of being interviewed by my incredibly talented friend and colleague Vanessa Sorenson! In this video we chatted about Reiki: the principles, what a session looks like, how it can help manage different health conditions and what you can do on your own.
I was stuck in a nasty rut earlier this week, feeling really low vibe and in tears multiple times. Part of what was keeping me stuck was the comeback tour of old stories, that inner monologue of negativity.
What would your life look like if you lived authentically, empowered yourself to make decisions that positively served you and felt confident in your own skin? Take a few deep breaths and visualize how fantastic that would be.
Extraordinary things happen when we open ourselves to new ways of looking at life and to the power of something bigger than us, whether that be the Universe, God, Spirit, Nature, etc. I had one such experience this week during a Reiki training.
